Confessions of an Overachiever
I have a confession…that we will get to in a moment.

With that being said, I have a confession. I am KawaiiGemStone. I have been organizing, hosting, and growing as an event Organizer since February 14th of 2025. I felt I had to keep KawaiiGemStone a dirty little secret, that people would view my RubiSlippers Creations differently, but what I have come to realize, its quite the opposite. I have been holding myself back by keeping my cards so close to my chest. Through my amazing friends and community, and this latest interview I decided not to hide anymore. RubiSlippers and KawaiiGemStone are two sides to the same coin.
On one side I have my beautiful, odd, unique, and 100% handmade creations. On the other side I want to spread a little Kawaii into you life with fun events that not only nurture my vendors creativity and push them to new heights, but to also help our community as a whole by bringing people together. Supporting Local Artists and Businesses is more important than ever. To put our money where our heart is, into our community. That is the main goal of the KawaiiGemStone side. Also, to bring shoppers a fun and meaningful experience where they leave with a small and hopefully a few handmade goodies too!
Yes, am I amazing at organizing events? Apparently so (honestly it’s always been kinda my thing even going back to organizing clubs and parties in College)! Being talented aside, I’m also an overachiever, and in the realm of hosting events and participating in them I want the Vendors to do well, but also the kind and amazing businesses that allow KawaiiGemStone into their place of business. It needs to be a perfect balance and I believe I have found that in places like Bytes Cafe, Hanamaru Cafe, and ShotgunHouse Coffee Roasters. These places are especially important to me and when they trust me with their space it means the world to me and I want to do them proud! Plus, they provide beautiful spaces, staff, and tasty delights!
Will my little KawaiiGemStone Markets save the world? That would be epic, but probably not. What they ARE doing is fostering a sense of community, creativity, and kindness among fellow artists and creatives and businesses that actually care about their neighbors. That right there is good enough for me, that is what I am all about. RubiSlippers and KawaiiGemStone just want to be a part of a world where people actually care about each other. Making that environment possible, and a reality is what makes me an Overachiever, and I can’t wait to show you what WE can achieve in 2026!
